Thanks William. We really are excited about this event in January.
We aim to get the best speakers from the industry to share not just best practices in using innovative strategies to market your brand, but more importantly to help discuss the challenges and obstacles in going beyond traditional marketing.
Marketing financial services through social media, using blogs, engaging the community, advancing mobile marketing, even exploring in-game adverstising and second life - we know the opportunity is huge. Other industries are already jumping on these opportunities and are seeing results. Now that the consumer is already taking charge, showing us how they want to be approached, telling us what interests them and what catches their attention, it is important for the financial industry to respond and take a cue from these changes.
There are still a lot of apprehension though from the FI companies. From limitations within the regulatory environment, to the lack of budget and management buy-in, there are so many obstacles to overcome. But if marketers don't do it now or if you wait much longer, for sure competitors would figure out a way to attract your customers better.
Anyway, these are just some of the issues we want to cover at the "Innovations In Financial Services" conference in New York.
The agenda is still being developed and will be out before the end of the month. Marketing experts who are reading this blog can jump in and suggest ideas and hot topics that we can incorporate into the agenda.
